Quincy native Candace Huffman Wellman holds degrees and graduate work in Sociology and History, as well as experience assembling her family history, and many years of helping researchers with their projects at the Washington State Archives. She spent the past two decades researching and writing her biographies of "unknowable" nineteenth century indigenous women. WSU Press published Peace Weavers in 2017 and Interwoven Lives in 2019. She now lives in Bellingham and looks forward to presenting a research workshop in her hometown.
